These terms govern your use of this website and your purchase of KARST products. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The product
KARST filter straws use a 0.1-micron hollow-fiber membrane to reduce waterborne bacteria, protozoan cysts, microplastics and sediment in fresh water by physical size exclusion. KARST filters do not remove viruses, dissolved chemicals, heavy metals or salt. Intended for outdoor, travel and emergency preparedness use.
Intended use
- For outdoor recreation, travel and emergency-preparedness use with fresh water sources.
- Follow the included instructions, and replace the unit at the end of its rated lifespan.
- Not for use with salt water, chemically contaminated water, or water of unknown chemical origin.
- Not a substitute for municipal water treatment, medical advice, or professional judgment in an emergency.
Orders & pricing
- All prices are in US dollars and may change at any time before an order is placed.
- Any compare-at or “was” price reflects the planned general-sale price of the items purchased separately, not necessarily a past selling price.
- We may refuse, cancel, or limit any order — including for suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock we can't fulfill — and will refund anything already charged.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy; our acceptance is confirmed when we ship.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. You authorize the charge shown at checkout, including any applicable tax and shipping.
Shipping
Shipping is a flat $2.99 per order; the Family Four pack ships free. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery to the carrier. We aren't responsible for carrier delays outside our control.
Returns & support
All sales are final — we don't offer change-of-mind returns or a money-back guarantee. If your order arrives wrong, damaged, or doesn't show up, reach us through the contact form and we'll do our best to make it right.
Acceptable use of the site
Don't attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems, and don't use it for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The KARST name, branding, copy, imagery and site design are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The product is provided with its published specifications, and the site is provided “as is” without other warranties to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a product or your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid for the order at issue, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above will change and continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
